Before singing those songs, Elvis starts out by joking, “Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to the International. I’m Johnny Cash.” That would indicate that this recording was made during one of Elvis’s performances at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, at which he appeared many times in the early 1970s.
